# Free email domains list

> A list of free and disposable email domains to download as TXT or CSV, with a checker that sorts business email addresses from the rest. Free, no sign-up.

A list of free and disposable email providers, such as gmail.com and mailinator.com, with a checker that splits business addresses from the rest. This page doesn’t give you an email address.

Use the tool in a browser at [/tools/free-email-domains](https://www.acquisity.ai/tools/free-email-domains). It is free and needs no sign-up.

## Download the list

- [The full list as TXT](https://www.acquisity.ai/tools/free-email-domains/free-email-domains.txt)
- [The full list as CSV](https://www.acquisity.ai/tools/free-email-domains/free-email-domains.csv)

## Well-known free email providers on the list

Well-known free providers on the list include gmail.com, googlemail.com, outlook.com, hotmail.com, hotmail.co.uk, live.com, msn.com, yahoo.com, yahoo.co.uk, ymail.com, aol.com, icloud.com, me.com, mac.com, proton.me, protonmail.com, zohomail.com, gmx.com, gmx.de, web.de, mail.com, yandex.com, yandex.ru, mail.ru, qq.com, 163.com, 126.com, naver.com, rediffmail.com and libero.it.

The full list also holds thousands of smaller free and disposable providers, so download it to see them all.

## How addresses are sorted

- An address is at a free or disposable provider when its domain is on the list, or sits under a domain on the list, so sam@mail.yahoo.co.uk counts through yahoo.co.uk. Capitals don’t matter.
- A few names on the list, such as net.ua and it.com, are endings that people register their own names under. They match only themselves, so an address at company.net.ua counts as a business address.
- We also count three well-known free providers the list leaves out: tuta.com, tutanota.com and passport.com.
- Every other valid address counts as a business address. That only means its domain isn’t one we know as free or disposable, not that we checked the company behind it.
- A line that isn’t a valid email address, like a name with no @ or an address with a space in it, is listed on its own, and an address that appears twice is listed once.
- A typo like gmai.com isn’t on the list, so it counts as a business address. To fix typos and tidy a list first, run it through the [email list cleaner](https://www.acquisity.ai/tools/email-list-cleaner).

## Where the list comes from

The list is free-email-domains by Kiko Beats, published under the MIT licence. It joins a list of free email providers with several public lists of disposable email services, and its maintainer takes out domains whose DNS shows they can’t receive email. This page uses the version it was built with, and the downloads are that same list: one domain per line in the TXT file, and one domain column in the CSV file.

## What it doesn’t do

It doesn’t give you an email address or host email, and it doesn’t check whether an address exists. It runs in your browser, so the addresses and domains you check aren’t uploaded or saved.

## Questions

### What is a free email domain?

A domain anyone can sign up for an address at, like gmail.com, outlook.com or yahoo.com. An address there belongs to a person, not to a company’s own domain.

### How do I tell a business email address from a personal one?

Look at its domain. If the domain is on the list, or is one of the few well-known free providers we count as well (tuta.com, tutanota.com and passport.com), the address is at a free or disposable provider. So is an address at a subdomain of one, like mail.yahoo.co.uk, unless the listed name is one people register their own names under, such as net.ua. Otherwise we count it as a business address, which only means its domain isn’t one we know as free or disposable. Paste a list into the checker to sort many at once.

### Can I download the whole list?

Yes, as a TXT file with one domain per line, or as a CSV file with one domain column.

### Does the list include disposable email domains?

Yes. It holds free providers and disposable inbox services together, and it doesn’t say which is which.

### Are my addresses uploaded or stored?

No. The list is loaded into your browser and your addresses are checked there, so they’re never sent to us or saved.

### How big can my list be?

Up to 10 MB of text, which is well over 100,000 lines. Past that, we sort the first 10 MB, up to the last whole line, and say so.

## Sending only to business addresses?

On paid plans, when you upload leads to a campaign, Acquisity skips repeats, invalid addresses, people on your blocklist and people already in another campaign you haven’t archived, and shows you what it skipped. [Cold Email Agent](https://www.acquisity.ai/agents/cold-email).
